About BizBee
We explain business credit the way the people who approve it actually think about it.
Most “best business line of credit” articles are written by people who have never sat on the lending side of the desk. BizBee is built around one difference: the person writing it did. Our lead author, Marcus Delaney, spent years as a commercial loan officer reviewing line-of-credit applications — deciding which got approved, which got declined, and why. He then ran a small business of his own and borrowed from the other side of that same desk.
That’s the whole angle: how lenders actually decide. Not marketing copy. Not the lender’s brochure language repeated back to you. Plain English about how applications really get evaluated, what the numbers on an offer actually cost you, and where the traps are — especially in products like merchant cash advances that look like financing but price like something else.
Our relationship with BizBee Funding
Read this before our recommendations: BizBee Funding (bizbeefunding.com) is our affiliated funding service — a related company, not an arm’s-length advertiser. It is the service behind our primary “Get Funded Today” button and our #1 recommendation for getting matched with a lender.
That is a material relationship, and we disclose it everywhere BizBee Funding appears. It is different from the third-party affiliate commissions described elsewhere on this site: with an outside lender we earn a referral fee and nothing more; BizBee Funding is part of the same family. Our editorial reviews and our third-party lender scoring still follow the published method on How We Evaluate Lenders — no outside lender can buy a place in them — but BizBee Funding’s #1 placement reflects that ownership as well as fit, so weigh it accordingly and always compare your actual offers before you commit.
What we do
- Compare options honestly. We line up business lines of credit against term loans, business credit cards, SBA loans, invoice factoring, and merchant cash advances — and tell you when a line of credit is not the right tool.
- Review lenders on a stated method. How we score lenders is written down on our How We Evaluate Lenders page. No mystery rankings.
- Translate eligibility. Credit score, time in business, revenue, entity type — what lenders look at and what “qualifying” really means, so you can see if you may qualify before you apply.
- Cite real sources. Where we reference rates, fees, or standards, we point to named authorities (the Federal Reserve, the SBA) or the lender’s own published terms. When a number varies, we say so instead of inventing one.
What we are not
BizBee is not a lender and not a loan broker. We don’t make loans, issue lines of credit, or decide who gets funded. We’re an independent information and comparison site. Nothing here is financial, legal, or tax advice — it’s general information to help you ask better questions and compare options. Always confirm current terms directly with the lender and consider speaking with a qualified advisor about your specific situation.
How we make money
We keep the lights on through affiliate partnerships: when you click through to some of the lenders or marketplaces we mention and take an action (like submitting an application), we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. It never changes our ratings, our rankings, or what we’re willing to say about a product. We explain the whole model in plain English on our How We Make Money page, and every monetized page carries a disclosure up top. See also our Affiliate Disclosure.

How we keep ourselves honest
We publish our Editorial Standards, a Corrections policy, and an AI Content Disclosure explaining how we use AI to assist drafting and how humans review every piece. If we get something wrong, tell us — see Contact — and we’ll fix it on the record.
